The MU School of Law offers a collegial environment, reinforced by a small student body and a low faculty-student ratio. The intimacy of this setting, coupled with reasonable cost, consistently high bar passage rates, a network of alumni around the globe and access to top scholars in the legal world, make MU Law one of the best values in the nation.

The Cape Town Summer Study Abroad Program is open to law students who have successfully completed the first or second year of law school at an ABA-accredited law school. Individuals who have completed their J.D. course work at an ABA-accredited law school also can participate in this program. Non-MU students must submit a letter of good standing from their registrar or dean of students.
Although this program is accredited by the American Bar Association, the acceptance of any credit or grade for any course taken in this program is subject to a determination by a student's home school. It is unlikely that participation in the South Africa Study Abroad program may be used to accelerate graduation. For more information on this matter, students must contact their home schools to review this issue in light of ABA Standard 304, Interpretation 304-4.
This program will include a limited number of South African law school students from the University of the Western Cape.
Enrollment is limited to 22 American law students and 10 South African law students to keep classes small and to ensure the interactive nature of each course. Qualified students are accepted on a first-applied, first-enrolled basis.
Application Deadline: The University of Missouri South Africa Program is limited to 22 registrants. Once the program is full, each new applicant will be placed on a wait list. The application fee and deposit payment will not be processed unless an opening occurs and the applicant is still available to participate.
