Hey, I'm Derek. I'm a second year law student here at Mizzou. Most people talk about our staff and our facilities... I'm not gonna do that... You can check out the stats on our awesome Professors and bar passage rate on the school website, but what you won't see anywhere else is how great Mizzou has been at creating an atmosphere where you're gonna fit in!
We have regular happy hours through our Student Bar Association and most of the other student groups (for those of who might be interested), an excellent group of advisors, and some of the coolest students around.
I didn't quite know what to expect when I came last year. I heard law school was killer and I'd be so burned out after my first semester I'd have to see a therapist. Long story short... that's not it at all! You're gonna be able to read your assignments, prepare for class, and have a good time- all at the same time. You just have to make sure you have your priorities in line. You don't have to give up your social life to succeed in law school!
