The MU School of Law offers a collegial environment, reinforced by a small student body and a low faculty-student ratio. The intimacy of this setting, coupled with reasonable cost, consistently high bar passage rates, a network of alumni around the globe and access to top scholars in the legal world, make MU Law one of the best values in the nation.
Hello! My name is Portia Britt and I am technically a 3L but I am getting a Master’s in Public Administration so I will be here an extra year. I am originally from Nashville, TN and I have a special place in my heart for the Tennessee Volunteers. But I did grow up most of my life in St. Louis, so go Cards! I attended Washington University in St. Louis for my undergrad, and received a dual degree in Political Science and African & African-American Studies.
I actually transferred to Mizzou after my 1L year. It was the best decision I ever made. The Mizzou alumni network is enormous and you will be hard pressed to find someone without a connection to Tiger Country! Everyone in the law school (students, staff, faculty) is more than willing to do everything they can to help you succeed. There is room for everyone to find their niche and succeed. In short, I love Mizzou, and it is a great education, at a great price, with great people.
If you have any questions about law school in general, Mizzou in particular, or any other random topics (like Batman or How I Met Your Mother) feel free to email me!
