Welcome prospective student! My name is Jafon Fearson and I am a 2-L at MU Law. I am from a small town close to Auburn Al and I attended UAB for undergrad majoring in biomedical engineering. I decided to attend law school to focus on intellectual property law.
What impressed me about MU was the exceptional spirit of moral support and camaraderie. I received tremendous support from staff and students which created a sense of community and family that I did not experience with other institutions; and after visiting the campus, I knew that this would be the place for me.
After completing my first year, I can now say that my intuition was correct. The support does not just stop when you are accepted. The professors have amazed me at every step; they want to get to know you as a person and challenge you as a student; they are always eager to answer your questions and help you understand the material. Furthermore, staff and career services are up close and personal; they look out for you like you are one of their very own. They take into account every aspect of your skills, background, and personality to assist you in obtaining summer clerkships and permanent positions. This summer, I interned In-House with corporate counsel at Sigma-Aldrich Corporation, a Life Science and High Technology company in St. Louis.
There is so much more that I could tell you about why I love MU Law. However, it would be much better if you took a tour to experience the magic for yourself! If you have any further questions, please feel free to email me.
