Hi! I’m Beth Findley and this is my third year of law school here at Mizzou.
I’m originally from Sedalia, MO, and I choose to attend Missouri State University in Springfield after I was offered a scholarship to play soccer there. I got my undergrad in psychology, but during my senior year I started taking some business courses and decided to pursue my MBA. I stayed at Missouri State for one more year completing my MBA, and during that time I had a business law class that struck my interest in a way that no class ever had before. It was at that point that I first considered law school, and while I applied to several schools, Missouri was my first choice from the very beginning.
Now, two years later, I couldn’t be more thrilled with Mizzou. The class work is stimulating, the professors as a whole are very approachable, the students are a close-knit group, and the school spirit runs thick…plus it’s close to home for me. In addition to being a law school ambassador I am an associate member of the Missouri Law Review, and I work part-time for a law firm in town.
I’m recently married and can attest to the fact that law school and wedding planning can mix. Also, my husband and I just built a house in Columbia, which was an adventure to say the least. So far, the community is a perfect fit for us, and we are quite likely here to stay.
