The MU School of Law offers a collegial environment, reinforced by a small student body and a low faculty-student ratio. The intimacy of this setting, coupled with reasonable cost, consistently high bar passage rates, a network of alumni around the globe and access to top scholars in the legal world, make MU Law one of the best values in the nation.
Hi! My name is Rachel Hirshberg and I’m a second year student at MU Law. I graduated from Harvard University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. After graduation, I worked for four years in advertising before beginning law school. I decided to attend MU Law because of its strong reputation, the great value that it offers, and because of the large number of alumni who go on to lead and influence the State of Missouri. Since matriculating in August I have felt welcomed by an incredibly supportive student body and administration, and have been incredibly impressed by the caliber of the faculty.
I am a “non traditional” law student in that I worked for several years before beginning law school and am married. My husband is also a graduate student at MU, in the School of Medicine. If you have any questions about law school, being a non traditional graduate student, or how to balance work and life, please do not hesitate to send me an email. I’d be happy to offer any help that I can as you embark on the route to law school!
