The MU School of Law offers a collegial environment, reinforced by a small student body and a low faculty-student ratio. The intimacy of this setting, coupled with reasonable cost, consistently high bar passage rates, a network of alumni around the globe and access to top scholars in the legal world, make MU Law one of the best values in the nation.

Greetings from Columbia. My name is Chris Lesinski and I am a second year law student. I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO, and obtained a BA in English, with a focus on creative writing, and a BS in Justice Systems from Truman State University. There I was a member of Alpha Kappa Lambda social fraternity, and spent much of my time with Team Bulldog Jiu-Jitsu and the club rugby team.
After graduation I took a few years off, as I knew I was not prepared to continue my education at that point. In that time, I worked in various bars around St. Louis and at a firm as a file clerk while trying to catch up with the world I left behind during my undergraduate studies.
The time off let me do research into where and how I was going to invest in my law education, which, after comparing prices, location and academic communities led me to MU-Law. Because my family lives in St. Louis, I initially looked at law schools there, but a good friend and recent graduate of MU-Law pointed me in this direction, and I’m happy that he did.
Though my experiences at the law school are limited, I have enjoyed my time here so far, and the distress of applying to law schools is still fresh in my mind. Let me know if there are any questions you feel I can help with.
