The MU School of Law offers a collegial environment, reinforced by a small student body and a low faculty-student ratio. The intimacy of this setting, coupled with reasonable cost, consistently high bar passage rates, a network of alumni around the globe and access to top scholars in the legal world, make MU Law one of the best values in the nation.
My name is Kayla and I am a first-year law student from Warrenton, Missouri. I earned a Bachelor of Political Science with minors in Psychology and Legal Studies from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri. When deciding what law school to attend, I found that the support system and networking opportunities offered at Mizzou to be the most important. I wanted a new place to call home, new friends that I could rely on if I was struggling with a legal concept, and professors that genuinely wanted to see me succeed; I have found all of these things and more at Mizzou.
I was extremely active in a variety of organizations in undergrad and am already well on my way to being involved at Mizzou. I am a member and competitor of the Board of Advocates, member of the Student Bar Association, Phi Alpha Delta, and Women’s Law Association.
