The MU School of Law offers a collegial environment, reinforced by a small student body and a low faculty-student ratio. The intimacy of this setting, coupled with reasonable cost, consistently high bar passage rates, a network of alumni around the globe and access to top scholars in the legal world, make MU Law one of the best values in the nation.

Hey y’all! My name is Tenia Phillips and I am a 2L from Waco, Texas by way of Detroit, MI. I graduated from Midway High School in 2002. After attending several colleges, I finally graduated from the University of North Texas in December 2007. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Art in General Studies with a Certification in Criminalistics.
I initially applied to Mizzou because of the dual degree programs that were offered. When I attended the Admissions Day in March, I was overwhelmed by the desire of Mizzou to help students succeed and I loved the sense of community that I felt. To me, Mizzou felt like a home away from home.
Transitioning from a full time job and moving out of state has been an adjustment and very exhausting. However, there have plenty of opportunities to get involved and make new friends to make life a little easier. At Mizzou, I have yet to meet a stranger. If you should need anything at all, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
