The MU School of Law offers a collegial environment, reinforced by a small student body and a low faculty-student ratio. The intimacy of this setting, coupled with reasonable cost, consistently high bar passage rates, a network of alumni around the globe and access to top scholars in the legal world, make MU Law one of the best values in the nation.
Hello everyone! My name is Alec and I am beginning my first year of law school at Mizzou. I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, however when I graduated high school I fled the snow to sunny Tucson, Arizona where I obtained a degrees in Business Administration and Political Science from the University of Arizona. As an undergrad, I was involved in the business school student leadership organization, a political campaign internship, working in the student union bookstore and Delta Tau Delta fraternity amongst other things. As an upperclassman I attended night classes in business school while I worked during the day as a project management assistant for a building permit expediting company. That gave me a great real-world experience and has led me to take an interest in zoning/land use and property law.
I’ve always had the desire to enter into the legal profession and Mizzou offered me the best combination of affordable in-state tuition, nationwide recognition and networking opportunities as I hope to someday return to the West Coast.
Coming back to Missouri and moving to Columbia after 4 years (and 3 scorching summers!) straight in the desert was kind of a shock but I readjusted well and love it so far! If you have any questions whatsoever don’t hesitate to send me an email!
