Hi! I know first hand that choosing a law school is not easy. Two years ago, I was visiting different law schools across the country trying to make the right choice. Because I attended Mizzou for my undergraduate degree, I felt that I needed to go elsewhere. However, after visiting MU Law anyway, there was something special about it that kept pulling me back. Beyond the fact that is ranked highly among law schools, the faculty and students here are outstanding. There is a since of camaraderie amongst the faculty and students that cannot be found elsewhere. Coming to MU Law taught me that law school should be much more than just a means to an end.
Now that I am into my 2L year, I could not be happier with my decision. The classes are challenging yet rewarding. The faculty and staff know me by name and have genuine interest in my success. While the 1L year is extensive, it is also enjoyable.
I'm a fan of more than just the excellent standards of the MU School of law, but also for the excitement the Mizzou campus and the city of Columbia offer. Between Big 12 athletics and the scene downtown, there is always something to do when you have the time. As an undergraduate at Mizzou, I was very involved on campus. I was honored to be a part of Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, Mizzou ‘39, and Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity. My favorite undergraduate experience was being a Director of Mizzou Homecoming. Mizzou founded colligate football Homecoming and every year the campus comes alive to honor the tradition.
Beyond school, I love to travel and look for every opportunity to do so. I spent time studying in Spain, Prague, and Vienna and backpacking through Europe. Tuscany might be my favorite destination thus far, but I’m looking forward to my next trip: Greece. I am also a sports fanatic. I couldn‘t survive law school without ESPN. Finally, I’d love to get to know you and your interests in the law. Feel free to contact me!
