The MU School of Law offers a collegial environment, reinforced by a small student body and a low faculty-student ratio. The intimacy of this setting, coupled with reasonable cost, consistently high bar passage rates, a network of alumni around the globe and access to top scholars in the legal world, make MU Law one of the best values in the nation.
Hey there! My name is Meg Sterchi, I am a 2L from Prairie Village, Kansas (suburb of Kansas City), and no I have never been a fan of that school in Lawrence, KS with a mythical bird as a mascot. I graduated from undergrad at Mizzou in 2012, where I was an active member of various campus and service organizations and served as the Public Relations officer for Kappa Kappa Gamma. I began law school at Mizzou Law in the Fall of 2012 after spending a majority of the summer traveling and backpacking around Europe.
I actually did not know I wanted to attend law school when I began undergrad, because I believed I wanted to pursue Broadcast Journalism. As fate would have it, pursuing Broadcast actually led me to law school after taking Communication Law.
Being a part of the Mizzou Law family has been such a blessing. The people I have met, the experiences I have had, and the knowledge I have gained so far have truly been worth all the hard work you do in law school. While law school is competitive, Mizzou Law has an overall welcoming, encouraging, and family like atmosphere that will make your transition into law school that much better.
Welcome to the Mizzou Law family! Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about Mizzou or Columbia in general!
