Hi all! My name is Darrion Walker and I am a second year law student here at the University of Missouri School of Law. I am from Kansas City, MO (the better side of the state) and graduated from Missouri State University in Springfield, MO with a major in Socio-political Communication.

I am one of those crazy folks who knew since high school that he wanted to become a lawyer, so in that regard, I always knew I would end up in law school. What I could not have foreseen is ending up in a law school in which I could not only be challenged, but enjoy the process itself, the environment and the community. Luckily, I found such a combination here at Mizzou Law.

Mizzou Law stood out to me because of the inherent sense of sincerity I experienced every time I interacted with not only the admissions office, but with the students. The law school representatives, from the very beginning, were always candid and open about life in law school generally and what being a student at Mizzou Law was really like. The sincerity and effort shown to me by the law school throughout the admissions process sealed the deal, and I have not looked back since.

Eventually, I would like to end up working for the government in the regulatory sector (preferably in or near Washington, D.C.) or in litigation back home in K.C. Either way, I am confident that Mizzou Law has and will tirelessly utilize the resources to help me achieve either option.

If you would like some additional insight or have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to e-mail me. I am more than happy to chat with you and offer any support I can through the admissions process!
