Hi. My name is Liz Westbrooks, and I am third year law student at Mizzou. I am originally from Greenville, and I received my undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, where I studied English and History. Upon graduation, I went straight to law school.
During my Senior year at SIUE, I made the decision to go to law school, but choosing a law school was much more difficult than I had originally anticipated. I toured many schools throughout the Midwest, looking for a perfect match to fit my needs, but none of the schools I toured met my expectations. That’s when I discovered Mizzou. Mizzou had everything I was looking for: small classes, a supportive faculty, and a national reputation for excellence. Academics aside, the real selling point for me was the atmosphere of the law school. Here at Mizzou, students are actually friendly to one another, professors know you by name, and the administration actually cares about your personnel success. In other words, you are more than just a tuition check at Mizzou.
Three years later, I am still happy about my choice to attend school at Mizzou. Though law school is difficult, it is also an enriching and rewarding experience.
If you have any questions about Mizzou, or law school in general, please feel free to shoot me an email! I’d be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Best of luck in your selection process!
