I married my high school sweetheart and then worked as a paralegal for a mid-sized firm in Kansas City for three years before returning to law school. I plan to return to the Kansas City area to practice. I am excited to be at Mizzou Law because of its student-oriented culture, balanced teaching philosophy, reputation, and value. I am proud to be part of a diverse, fun, and close-knit group of students surrounded by talented faculty and staff who have our best interests at heart. I like that Mizzou balances an emphasis on trial advocacy skills with its expertise in ADR. I will be prepared not only for the courtroom, but also confident in my negotiation and client counseling skills, which are far more often used in practice. If you've researched law schools, then you know what a great value Mizzou is. I will graduate with the strength of Mizzou's reputation and half the debt of comparable schools. At Mizzou, I have the freedom to choose my future career based on my interests, not financial pressure.
