Christian Legal Society

About Us

The Christian Legal Society: is a professional membership association of Christian attorneys, judges, law professors, law students, paralegals, and many others. Our mission is "to be the national grass roots network of lawyers and law students, associated with others, committed to proclaiming, loving and serving Jesus Christ through all we do and say in the practice of law, and advocating biblical conflict resolution, public justice, religious freedom, and the sanctity of human life."

CLS has a threefold vision of ministry:

  1. Spiritual Growth and Accountability,
  2. Compassionate Outreach, and
  3. Following Christ in the Law.

The MU Student Chapter: is a student organization in the MU School of Law which is affiliated with the Christian Legal Society and serves the law school student body.

The goals of our student chapter are:

  1. to encourage Christian law students in their faith and studies,
  2. promote discussion and/or debate of issues from a Christian perspective, and
  3. serve the community in which we live.

While the chapter is Christian and its meetings will make use of the Bible, prayer, and discussion involving the Christian faith, students of all backgrounds are welcome and encouraged to participate.
