SETTLEMENT WEEK, CLAY COUNTY
The Seventh Judicial Circuit (Clay County) is hosting its first annual Settlement Week on May 28-31. Litigants may participate in mediation or arbitration proceedings with volunteer neutrals at locations throughout the courthouse complex. Sessions will be scheduled for mornings or afternoons. Any one with training meeting the standards of Supreme Court Rule 17 is invited to sign up as a neutral in any of the available time slots. A free lunch and comradery with other neutrals will be provided at noon each day. RUTGERS CONFLICT RESOLUTION LAW JOURNAL SEEKS SUBMISSIONS
The Rutgers State University School of Law-Newark recently founded a new scholarly online journal, the Rutgers Conflict Resolution Law Journal. The new journal seeks submissions of articles and notes for its initial online publication, which is scheduled for Spring/Summer 2002. The deadline for the Spring/Summer edition is June 15 and the deadline for the Fall/Winter edition is October 15. CALL FOR PROPOSALS: INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE WORLD MEDIATION FORUM, BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA, MAY 9-11, 2003
The Fourth International Conference of the World Mediation Forum will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina on May 9-11, 2003. This conference, entitled "Building Peaceful Co-existence" Mediation and Negotiation in a Conflictual World, is seeking proposals. For more details, see the web site or the binder in 206 Hulston.
