CSDR / LL.M. PROGRAM NEWS

PROF. JENNIFER ROBBENNOLT PUBLISHES ARTICLE ON ATTORNEYS, APOLOGIES, AND SETTLEMENT NEGOTIATION
Prof. Jennifer K. Robbennolt published Attorneys, Apologies, and Settlement Negotiation, 13 Harvard Negotiation Law Review 349 (2008). It provides empirical evidence that attorneys often have similar interpretations of apologies as claimants, but attorneys' judgments about settlement significantly differ from claimants when apologies are offered. Prof. Robbennolt is a senior fellow of the Center and Professor of Law and Psychology at the University of Illinois College of Law.

PROF. STACIE STRONG PUBLISHES ARTICLE ON INTERNATIONAL CLASS ACTION ARBITRATION
Prof. Stacie I. Strong published “Enforcing Class Arbitration in The International Sphere: Due Process and Public Policy Concerns,” 30 University of Pennsylvania Journal of International Law 1 (2008). This article weighs competing legal principles and policy concerns to demonstrate that awards resulting from international class arbitrations should be treated no differently than awards resulting from bilateral or multilateral arbitrations.
