Professor Beck joined the faculty in 1993 as director of the Domestic Violence Clinic. Her work history has included private law practice and consulting in adoption, medical malpractice and health care law practice; faculty member and faculty administrator in two schools of nursing; and certified family nurse practitioner.
She has worked with clemency petitions; extraordinary writ litigation; drafting multi state and federal legislation involving adoption of children and domestic violence; multidisciplinary domestic violence research; and grantsmanship. She teaches the Family Violence Clinic, Advocacy, Family Violence and Public Policy, Client Interviewing and Counseling, and Pretrial Litigation.
