Professor English joined the MU law faculty in 1999, following a career as an estate planning and tax partner with the Chicago law firm of D'Ancona & Pflaum and teaching at the Universities of South Dakota and Santa Clara.\

Professor English, who was the Reporter for the Uniform Trust Code, is a Uniform Law Commissioner, a former member of the Supervisory Council of the ABA Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, and a Commissioner of the ABA Commission on Legal problems of the Elderly.

Professor English is co-author of a three-volume treatise, Tax, Estate & Financial Planning for the Elderly, and has published numerous articles on tax, estate planning, elder law and related topics in law reviews and professional publications. He teaches Estates and Trusts, Will and Trust Drafting, Estate Planning and Taxation, Elder Law and Basic Federal Income Taxation.
