Professor Scott joined the faculty at MU as an adjunct professor in 1996 and became a full-time member of the faculty in the fall of 1999. Prior to beginning his teaching career, he served in the litigation division of the Office of the Missouri Attorney General and as a litigator and real estate attorney in the Kansas City law firm of Swanson-Midgley. In law school, he served as the Managing Editor of the Missouri Law Review.

Professor Scott teaches Legal Research & Writing, Advocacy & Research, BOA Competition and Trial Practice. He also lectures on the topics of Business Ethics and Corporations Law. He is a recipient of the Graduate Professional Council's Gold Chalk Award for Excellence in Teaching.
