Thanks for the Last Year: Former

Thank you to everyone who helped
turn this year into one of the best ever for our Chapter. In spite of great
challenges, our Chapter remained one of the most active student groups
in our law school. Our speaking events averaged a whopping 45 people per
event. Audience members included students, professors, along with local
citizens at large. This semester we still have one more event: The visit
to the Missouri Supreme Court. I hope our Chapter continues to grow. I
have faith the new officer team will take our Chapter to the next level.

Distinguished
Speakers Series Announced: The MU Federalist Society is busy planning
the "MU Federalist Society Distinguished Speakers Series" for the next
few years. What is the MU Federalist Society Distinguished Speakers Series?
Our goal is to provide a forum for those at the top of their respective
law field to speak to law students, and in return for law students to interact
with those distinguished speakers. This Series provides an excellent opportunity
for law students to listen and learn from the very best as well as the
rare opportunity to interact with these distinguished individuals.
Congratulations
to the New Officers!: President, Paul Bullman; Vice President, Andrea
Benna; Treasurer, Tom Ellis; Secretary, Amanda Wolf.
The Speaker and Activity chair will
be filled at the January meeting.
The Constitution is Complete!:
After quite a bit of work by Tom Ellis, Michael Brown, Jason Gubbins and
others, the Constitution was written, amended, and then voted on during
the November 15th meeting. Great work to all who attended the meeting and
helped complete this tedious, yet vital, work. |
