Tuition and Fees

Tuition and fees are $3315 for MU Law Students and $3575 for non-MU Law students. These fees include tuition for six (6) credits, course materials, daily transportation to the University of the Western Cape, a bus tour of Cape Town and excursions to the Cape of Good Hope and the Stellenbosch wine region. Each student will also be required to purchase health insurance for approximately $80. This cost will be billed separately and it will be in addition to the fees listed above.

* If you are unable to pay the full amount by March 3, 2008 because you are waiting for a financial aid package, please submit a letter or e-mail from your finanacial aid officer noting that you have applied for aid and that the award is pending.

Housing

Housing is being arranged in the De Waterkant area of Cape Town; a scenic, historic area near downtown Cape Town. De Waterkant Village is a short walk or cab ride to many restaurants, shops and Cape Town’s bustling nightlife. Students can have their own bedrooms in modern, furnished apartments with weekly maid and linen services. Students wishing to share a bedroom with one other person should expect to pay approximately $700 per person. Students wanting a private bedroom but willing to share an apartment with 2 or 3 other students will pay approximately $1000.

Housing costs will be paid directly to the University of Missouri School of Law at a date to be determined later, but no sooner than May 15, 2008.

Food and Other Personal Expenses

Students are responsible for their own food and personal expenses. The apartments will have fully equipped kitchens. Students cooking their own meals will significantly reduce their daily expenses. Students not choosing to prepare their own food should expect to pay approximately $15-$25 per day for meals in local restaurants.
