Constitutional Law: A Research Guide and Selected Bibliography
The material and information suggested herein are designed to supplement the law students’ course instruction and materials in Constitutional Law. The materials here can help students better understand and apply the essential principles of Constitutional Law. A clear understanding of these principles is crucial to the students’ academic success and future career in legal practice. Constitutional issues may, as the student will discover, be encountered in even the most seemingly simple and mundane legal questions, and the principles and practicalities of Constitutional analysis are the basis of a great deal of legal scholarship. Furthermore, Constitutional Law is a very dynamic subject, as new court decisions constantly add to or change existing law. Therefore, a comprehensive survey of the materials available on Constitutional Law is beyond the scope of this work.
For in-depth research on particular questions and problems in Constitutional Law, consult the Law Library’s online catalog, electronic resources such as Lexis-Nexis or Westlaw, or the Library’s staff of Reference Librarians. The material presented here focuses on the Constitution of the United States of America, and also provides some guidance to resources dealing with the Constitution of the State of Missouri.
