Evidence: A Research Guide and Selected Bibliography
The material and information herein is meant to be a supplement to law students’ course instruction and materials in Evidence. The suggested materials here can help students better understand the essential principles of the laws of evidence. A clear grasp of these principles is crucial to the students’ academic success and future career in the practice of law. Evidence is, as the student will discover, a very broad subject and will be a lifetime study for the legal professional. Thus, consideration of the many facets of the laws of evidence and the questions and problems the subject presents are necessarily beyond the scope of this work.
For in-depth research on particular problems in evidence, consult the Law Library’s online catalog, electronic resources such as Lexis-Nexis or Westlaw, or the Library’s staff of Reference Librarians. The material presented here focuses on the Federal laws of Evidence, and also provides some guidance to resources dealing with Missouri law.
