Creating Envelopes
Word and WordPerfect make it easy to create professional-looking envelopes when you need to send a résumé or important document. The directions are simple, but it is important to know which way to feed your blank envelope into the printer.
Using Microsoft Word
- Open Word by double-clicking on its icon in the Office 97 Applications folder on the Desktop.
- Select Tools from the menus at the top of the screen, then choose Envelopes and Labels…
- Click the Options… button. At this window you can change the envelope size, font, or position of address.
- After you have selected your options, click OK. From here you can do the following things:
- Type the delivery and return addresses in the given spaces.
- Preview the envelope with your information.
- See which direction the blank envelope needs to be fed into the printer.
- Print directly from the screen using the Print button.
Using WordPerfect

- Select Format from the menus at the top of the screen, then choose Envelope….
