This class will search for the truth behind the rhetoric about genetically modified food.  It will be an interdisciplinary examination of issues such as the patenting of living things, environmental risk and regulation, food safety, food labeling, liability to neighboring farms, "volunteer" seed, globalization and corporate power, research ethics, world hunger, and animal ethics.
