Hi! My name is Brittany Barrientos and I am a second-year student at Mizzou Law. I am from Bastrop, Texas, a small town outside of Austin. I graduated with a journalism degree from Texas Tech University in December 2005, and moved to Missouri later that year.

Considering moving to Missouri was slightly difficult, because I was not only leaving my family and friends, but the great state of Texas, which everyone knows we hold in very high esteem. But once I visted Mizzou, I knew I would fit in. When I visited Mizzou, everyone knew my name and wanted to learn more about me, which I thought was really important and impressive. That continues to be the case today, and that is part of what made the move to Missouri so easy.

Now, I love Missouri, and the law school is great. The faculty and professors are wonderful, but the students who go here really make the experience. Columbia is nice, too. It is a really friendly town that just has an atmosphere about it that makes living here really enjoyable.
