Hey there! My name is Bridget and I am in my third year of law school here at Mizzou. I am from Kearney, Missouri, which is a small town near Kansas City that is best known as the birthplace of Jesse James. As an undergrad, I attended MU. I was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and Alpha Kappa Psi (business fraternity). I also began volunteering at the Central Missouri Humane Society my senior year of college. I graduated in fall of 2005 with a major in marketing and a minor in philosophy.

My decision to come to MU for law school was an easy one. I was a Roberts Scholar so law school at Mizzou had been on my mind for four years. During my undergraduate experience at MU, I was able to visit the law school many times. I was always so surprised by how open the law professors were to my questions and how welcoming the atmosphere was in the law school.

Along with the warm atmosphere and amazing faculty, I was also attracted to MU's law school because of the cost and location. After researching other law schools in the area, it was apparent to me that Mizzou offered the most “bang for my buck”. For location, Columbia is a great place to live. It's a friendly town where there is always something to do, when you aren't studying, of course!
