Ask a Student AmbassadorKaitlin Bridges , 3L
Hi! My name is Kaitlin Bridges and I am a third year law student at the University of Missouri. I was born and raised in the star-studded town of Branson , Missouri. After graduation, I went to the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where I majored in Finance, with a minor in Legal Studies. While I was attending the U of A, I met my wonderful husband, Michael, who is also a 3L at Mizzou. When I am not in school, I love to go running (Columbia is a fantastic place for exercise fanatics with the Katy Trail and the Mizzou Rec Center). Also, I love to travel and am looking forward to the day when I will able to sleep somewhere in Europe other than a youth hostel! I decided to come to the University of Missouri School of Law for several reasons. First, the school has an outstanding reputation around the state and an incredible network of alumni. Ask around- I promise that you will find a lot of Mizzou alums and non-alums that have nothing but great things to say about this school. Second, the school fosters an incredibly friendly atmosphere. Of course law school is competitive, but you will find that virtually everyone (faculty and students alike) will lend a hand whenever you need help. Finally, as soon as I visited Mizzou, I knew that I wanted to be a part of the law school. I could tell that the professors really cared about their students and that the students were genuinely interested in learning. I encourage you to come for a visit- you can get a much better feel for Mizzou and for law school in general by experiencing it first hand. If you have any questions about law school, the application process, being married and a student, or anything else, don't hesitate to e-mail me ( kadck4@mizzou.edu ). I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you on a visit!
