Ask a Student AmbassadorJenny Brown , 1L
Hello! My name is Jenny and I am in my first year of law school at Mizzou. I received my undergraduate degree from MU in 2006, where I majored in Political Science with a minor in Journalism. Upon graduating I took a year off to work and travel, before returning to Columbia for law school. I am originally from Kirksville, Missouri which is a small town that some of you may know of because Truman State is located there. As an undergraduate at Mizzou, I was involved in an array of activities. I was a member of Alpha Phi sorority, Pi Sigma Alpha, MU Student Foundation, and Omicron Delta Kappa. I also served as a member on the Dance Marathon, House that Greeks Built, and Greek Week Steering Committees. As a new student, I have found that there are many activities to participate in at law school as well! In addition to being an ambassador, I am a member of the Student Bar and Women's Law Associations. As I continue my education here, I look forward to becoming further involved in the law school. Returning to Mizzou for law school was a great choice for me! The law school offers a top notch education at an affordable price with an atmosphere that encourages learning over cutthroat competition. Professors and students alike are friendly, outgoing, and will make you feel right at home. In addition to the school, Columbia is a great college town to live in, and I am sure that you will fall in love with it after just a short while! In my spare time, I like to hang out with my friends and family, watch sports, and spend time with my puppy Rolen (named after the Cardinal's Scott Rolen of course)! If you have any questions or concerns regarding the application process, visiting MU, or law school in general please do not hesitate to contact me at . I would love to hear from you at any time. Good luck in your decision process! |
