I'm Eric Jasso, a 2nd year student from Kansas City , Missouri . I graduated from Mizzou with a Political Science degree. During my undergrad years I was the President of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, a member of the RAMS Steering Committee and active in various other campus activities. After graduating in December 2005, I worked at a large law firm in Kansas City where I saw first hand how much success Mizzou lawyers can have.
My choice to stay in Columbia for law school was an easy one. Mizzou Law has all the leading professors & great job opportunities you would expect from a “Top 14” school without the high price-tag & “cutthroat” atmosphere. Our Professors are leading scholars in their fields but they are just as committed to teaching and always have time to help students outside of class. Our students are fun, laidback & form more of a close-knit group of friends than the cutthroat competitors at other schools. On top of all this, Columbia is the quintessential college town with great night life, scenery & all the college sports you can handle. Unless you don't like having fun, Mizzou is a great place to spend 3 years.
Law school may be comparable to a full time job, but it is not the life-consuming experience it is often made out to be. Classes are a lot of fun and you may find yourself laughing harder at your professors' hypotheticals than you ever have at a stand-up comedian.
