Greetings! My name is Jennae Neustadt and I am a 3L here at Mizzou. For a small town girl raised on a farm just north of St. Louis, MU was a great choice. My original attraction to the University was the School of Journalism, the top in the nation. But, the real reason why I am still here is because of the amazing opportunities that the University of Missouri provides. Not only am I able to work on my master's in media management while in law school, but MU also provides an array of clinics in which 2L's and 3L's can participate. As a fan of the political arena, I am considering the legislative clinic which allows students the opportunity to work at the state capitol (a short drive from MU) and help legislators draft legislation. If that does not interest you, you can also look into the criminal clinic, the family violence clinic, or perhaps dispute resolution (MU's claim to fame). In addition, the faculty at MU is amazing. If you are looking for a school where professors genuinely care about you and what you are learning, look no further. MU boasts top professors, eminent nationwide. Their collective experiences allow students the opportunity to learn a vast array of legal areas of emphasis.

In addition to being a student ambassador here at the law school, I am also a member of the Women's Law Association, Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity, a member of the Faculty Appointment Committee, a Lexis Nexis representative and am a member of the Republican's Women's Club of Boone County. In my free time, I like to take weekend trips to St. Louis or Kansas City and enjoy some of the state's sport teams (each city is only a few hours away and each boasts great traditions that you will love to take part in – I recommend Cardinals baseball if your looking for something fun to do).

It is easy to see why it was such an obvious choice for me. Not only am I getting a degree in law, but I also have the opportunity to gain hands on experience in the political arena, obtain a second advanced degree, learn from faculty members that are experienced professionals, join numerous nationally known organizations and make contacts that will benefit my future career (whether that be reporting for Court TV, working for the FCC, or even trying my hand at politics). I hope that you too will seriously consider MU as a potential place to spend the next few years of your life obtaining a degree in law.
