Hi, my name is Rachel, and I am a 1L at MU's School of Law. I grew up in Kirksville, Mo, which is about an hour north of Columbia.

I received my undergraduate from University of Missouri-Columbia in Magazine Journalism. While working toward my degree, I was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, edited Vox magazine, and wrote for several MU publications. I graduated in 2003 and came straight to Law School this fall.

I didn't always plan on attending law school. In fact, I didn't seriously consider it until September of my senior year. I came into MU's admissions office, and they were extremely helpful in giving me information. I chose to stay at MU because I love the campus and community in Columbia. (Go Mizzou!) Although this is my first year attending law school, I can tell it was the right decision for me. I love the professional atmosphere, and I couldn't ask for better people to surround me.
